On a sportive Friday morning, come join AUC’s bike tour of downtown to see its beautiful architecture of Khedivial Cairo. The bike tour highlights the city's historical landmarks with interesting spots and rejuvenated streets guided by AUC faculty and students of urban design and landscape architecture. There will be stops throughout the tour to talk about the downtown landmarks.

After the tour, join us for the interesting "Downtown on the Move" panel to discuss key sustainable urban mobility concepts.

Important information and guidelines:

  • Individuals aged 15 and above must possess their national ID or passport to obtain security clearance from the Cairo governorate.
  • Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The meeting point is AUC Tahrir Square Mohamed Mahmoud Gate.
  • Space is limited - only 40 bikes are available.
  • Bikes will be provided free of charge upon registration.
  • The duration of the tour is around 90 minutes.
  • Wear comfy shoes, bring water, wear a hat or a cap and no bags.
  • Bring your charged mobile, be ready to take photos and selfies and enjoy the ride!
