Evolution of the Media in Cairo

The JRMC department will showcase the history of Egyptian media over the past 100 years, including the most iconic shows and media personas as well as the evolution of media over the past century. The display will also include Cairo through the eyes of The Caravan to feature how the AUC student newspaper has covered momentous events of the past 100 years, like the 1952 military uprising, the 2011 revolution, and the attack on Gaza last October. The display would be divided into the following: 100 years of Cairo through the eyes of the Caravan, the technology of the past century, media icons of the 1900s and 2000s and milestones of television, radio, print and digital media.

Access to the event is on a first-come, first-served basis, and according to hall capacity.
